Last year's Drupal Camp AB, which was hosted in Lethbridge, sparked so much interest that the team decided to move the event to a larger venue in a larger city, with hopes of facilitating a larger crowd for Drupal Camp Alberta 2010.

There will be excellent speakers and sessions for this year's Drupal Camp AB:

  • A collaborative development workflow using Drupal and Git (Joshua Schroeder and Wesley Penner)
  • Apache Solr: Searching for a witty title (Daniel Washbrook)
  • Appify-Drupal: Using Titanium and Services to put your web site in the App Store (Joshua Schroeder)
  • Drupal for Higher Education (Anne Stefanyk)
  • Drupal Project Management (Anne Stefanyk)
  • Pragmatic guide to Drupal security (Mark Huxley)
  • Turning that UX frown upside-down (Steve Fisher)

Lethbridge Web Design will be giving away a sexy branded iPad to one lucky early bird!

Another batch of @lethwebdesign Moo Cards hot off the press! So excited for these fun cards :)

We've been ordering from Moo Print for about two years now for our mini cards. We absolutely love the quality - stock, colour and crop - these cards are always a cut above. We added a few new quotes and tag lines to keep things fresh, fun and interesting! Business cards can be a great conversation starter  - they also create that connection (and lasting impression) that we all strive for when meeting new people.

A Win-Win-Win-Win Situation

Stopped by KFC for a bite to eat to fill our greasy food craving. We were asked to donate a dollar to charity to help end world hunger. Sure! Why not? They gave us a card and asked us to put our name on it so they can post it on the wall. Filled-out the card, and they stuck it on the wall.

While munching on our Wrapster and Melted BLT Toasted Twister, Jeddy looks around the restaurant with his wandering eyes.  I can sense he was up to something.  As I was about to ask him to relax and stop thinking, he interrupts me and asks me for the debit card.  Asking him what he was up to, he walks away and wanders over to the register.

I shake my head and think, "here he goes again..."

He comes back to the table with 60 Donation Cards and a big smirk on his face.

He tells me that Lethbridge Web Design just purchased KFC's "leaderboard" to help end world hunger.

He tells me it's a win-win-win-win situation...and here's why:

Win for the Cause: Give to a good cause
Win for the Giver: Gain maximum exposure for Lethbridge Web Design and in a cost/cause-effective manner
Win for the Team: The KFC branch that receives the most donations receives prizes.
Win for Others: It challenges others to also give.

We challenge other local Lethbridge businesses out there to not only match, but beat our contribution. There's a ton more "space" you can buy out.

Let's help end world hunger.
